parc de la tête d'or...round 2

here are the rest of the pictures from our day at the park. Have I mentionned that we've been there three times and we still haven't seen everything?? Originally the park was created to give the people living in the city of Lyon a little bit of nature and fresh air. it's free too! there is a massive amount of flowers, plants, trees, animals, birds, a big lake, ice cream and cotton candy, etc... There are beautiful green houses too! They also brought in plants and trees from various parts of the world. For me it is like the big mother load of opportunities to take pictures of flowers. Sometimes Chris makes me put my camera away so I can keep up, or rather so he doesn't have to just stand there and wait on me...  mostly though, he lets me do my thing and shows an abundant amount of patience!

chris and i do this all the time, it was fun to share this with grandmama. we love our cows!!!

grandmama's coming!

Tomorrow daniel and i are off to pick up chris' mom! daniel is pretty excited to see his grandmama!!! chris and i are pretty excited too! of course i've been spending a lot of time cleaning house and getting ready. I want everything to be just right! to make this event even better, it seems the sun may have decided to join in too! we haven't had a real sunny day here in over 3 weeks - it's been cold (cold enough to turn on the electric heater in the evening) and it's been raining followed by foggy. it'll be nice to feel like it's summer again. I'm on vacation and chris will be soon. on the 14th we are leaving for paris, we decided to drive there.  we will be taking the long way so we can see parts of the country we've never been to before. fun will be had by all!
